Jenni and I are involved in several philanthropic groups. Our primary causes are literacy, education and the environment.

• Most of our money and effort goes to the San Diego Social Venture Partners. The SVP is like a venture capital fund for non-profits, and is one of the most satisfying groups I’ve ever worked with.

• We also support the http://www.literacysandiego.org/. Teaching people to read is my wife’s family’s calling, and my mother-in-law’s particular gift.

• Starting in April 2007, I will be helping to bring Donors Choose to San Diego. Donors Choose makes it easy for small donors to fund educational projects. Please see my page about bringing Donors Choose to San Diego for more information.
